Rumi, the Sufi poet, wrote :

You are searching the world for treasure 
but the real treasure is yourself.
If you are tempted by bread you will find only bread.
What you seek for you become.

This Sunday we will be reflecting on the good things in our lives which money cannot buy and remembering “for where your treasure is ,there your heart will be also”

On one of the first Sundays of the New Year we ponder on how we used up the 31,536,000 seconds of the old year and how we might fill the 525,600 minutes beckoning us into 2015.
Rumi, the Sufi poet, counsels us –

Do not look back my friend
No one knows how
the world ever began.
Do not fear the
future, nothing lasts forever.
If you dwell on
the past or the future you will miss the moment

Sunday 4th January 2015- Remembering Sheila Jones and welcoming the New Year

Our dear friend and inspiration, Sheila Jones, the Chair of our congregation died on 28th December.The funeral will be on 9th January. However, this Sunday we will have an opportunity to reflect on our loss as a community and to express our thoughts and thanks for this wonderful person who did so much for our church in Chorlton. Service starts at 10.30am .Everybody welcome
