Sunday 27 August – Pride: a bring and share gathering

“Some of the most commonplace words can be some of the biggest dividers: they? What if there was no they? What if there was only us? If words could be seen as they floated out of our mouths would we feel no shame as they passed beyond our lips? If we were to string our words on a communal clothesline would we feel proud as our thoughts flapped in the breeze?” Marilyn Maciel

This weekend Manchester celebrates Pride.  What does the word pride mean to you? In this service we will share our reflections – all are welcome, whether connected to LGBT+ issues or something else entirely.  Please feel free to bring poems, songs, stories, etc. to share with the group.  Facilitated by Laura Dobson.  Starts 10.30 am.  All welcome.

Sunday 20 August – Living an authentic life

What does it mean to lead an authentic life?

Is it possible and what stops us living in this way?  Is it something to strive for?

What is the false self and in what ways does this infiltrate our everyday lives?

Kath Fitzgibbon leads us in looking at different spiritual traditions and her own journey to identify ways to assist us in our search for authenticity.

Starts 10.30 am.  All welcome.
