Sunday 24 September – Isaac Newton: Scientist, Mystic and Unitarian?

Who was Isaac Newton, and what did he do, apart from getting hit on the head by an apple? Well, he discovered the laws of Mechanics and Universal Gravity, and investigated light and optics, thus initiating our modern Scientific understanding of the Universe. He was the inspiration for the Enlightenment and the American Constitution. He was a convinced Christian, who believed in a duty of love and charity to all mankind. He refused to let conventional ideas bind him to the authorities’ vision of things. Oh yes – and he was a Unitarian! (Not many people know that…)

Led by Mike Rutter. Starts 10.30 am.  All welcome.
