Chorlton Unitarian Church Update, September 2020

I am pleased to say that our committee has agreed to reopen our building in September. We have completed our COVID-19 Risk Assessment and implemented all the measures identified so that we are able to begin welcoming user groups back into our building.

The latest government regulations do not allow us to sing, socialise, or serve refreshments in the church building. Face coverings are now mandatory in places of worship, except for those with medical exemption. Social distancing must be observed at all times. I am mindful that these restrictions will make any gatherings for worship and meditation very different to what we are used to. During September we will begin to try out some small congregational gatherings in the church building. Our current capacity with 2m social distancing is 14 people. In order to include as many people as possible, we will continue to make our in-person gatherings accessible online on Zoom as well.

With love and blessings
