Update on church activities, February 2021

We are now open for Sunday worship again, following the UK government guidance for safe use of places of worship. You may attend our Sunday services in person in the church building or online on Zoom. There are a maximum of 14 places in the church. Please contact our Administrator, Linda Paris, at admin@chorltonunitarians.org to book your space or for the Zoom meeting details. If you are attending in person, please note that face coverings are mandatory for those without a medical exemption. You must also adhere to social distancing. In order to ensure good air circulation, our windows will be open during the service, so please wrap up warm!

With much love and many blessings

Sunday 4 October, 10.30 – 11.30 am: On Houses (in church and on Zoom)

Written during lockdown, Tom Grimshaw’s theme arises from these words of Khalil Gibran, ‘You are not enclosed within your bodies, nor confined to houses or fields. That which is you dwells above the mountain and roves with the wind.’ Join us in the church or on Zoom to consider this.
All welcome. Please contact minister@chorltonunitarians.org for the Zoom meeting details or to book your place in church.

Sunday 20 September, 10.30 – 11.30 am: Harvest Festival (in church and on Zoom)

“In this sanctuary we harvest bushels of strength for one another,
and offer our crop with the hands of compassion and generosity.
May we be grateful for the ways we nourish and uplift each other,
For it is the sharing of this hallowed time together that sustains us.”
Katie Gelfand

Join us for our harvest festival service, led by Laura Dobson. Donations to Care UK Refugee Aid Chorlton welcome.

All welcome. Please email minister@chorltonunitarians.org for the Zoom meeting details or to book your place in church.

Saturday 19 September, 7 – 8 pm: Earth Spirit Circle – Autumn Equinox (online via Zoom)

You are cordially invited to join the Unitarian Earth Spirit Network on Zoom to celebrate the Autumn Equinox – threshold of the dark half of the year – a time when we pause to reflect on the year’s harvest, finding balance in our lives, and preparing for the rest and renewal of winter. We will celebrate with words, music, meditation, and discussion on the theme of rest and renewal. Our hour together will end with a “just a minute” Eisteddfod – when you are invited to share, in one minute, if you wish, anything that has inspired you on the themes of the autumn equinox – a poem, a song, a creative art project, a recipe, a memory, etc. – the choice is yours. All welcome. Please email minister@chorltonunitarians.org for the Zoom meeting details.
