What’s On

What’s happening at Chorlton Unitarians this week

Tuesday 7.30 pm: Meditation (online)

Join us to meditate with some beautiful seasonal poetry using Lectio Divina – a method of engaging with sacred texts in four parts – reading, reflecting, responding, resting. No previous experience of meditation is required. All welcome.

Thursday 7.30 pm: Heart and Soul (online)

Join us for our contemplative spiritual gathering in which you can take time to reflect on life in the company of others, with readings and music, time for guided prayers of gratitude, compassion for others, self-reflection, and silent meditation. All welcome.

Sunday 10.30 am: Sunday Gathering (in the church)

Blessed Spirit of my life. This week is Pentecost in the Christian calendar – also known as Whit Sunday – the festival celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit to the disciples of Jesus after his Ascension.

In the Acts of the Apostles, we hear that the Holy Spirit gives the disciples the gift of being able to speak in different languages. In our service we will consider the complexities of communicating with our fellow humans, and how we might make more space in our lives to hear the voice of our own inner wisdom. Led by Laura Dobson. All welcome.

Our gatherings usually include songs, readings, prayers and/or meditation, and an address from the worship leader. All welcome.
